Membership Information / Member Clubs

Join us! For an annual fee of $10 per member, your Club can be a part of an organization that ties in with Rotary Clubs worldwide. By joining the RWHN, your club plays a part in every shipment.

Membership fees offset administrative, procurement, and some shipping costs. Being a member helps a club meet the District objectives for International Service, and work parties such as pick-ups, sortings, and shipment loadings count as a make-up.

Through the network, a member club can sponsor a shipment of a 40' container to a partnering Rotary club in another country by covering the shipping cost plus a contribution to RWHN of only $1,500 to assist the organisation to cover its's operational cost. The cost for non-member clubs is the shipping cost plus $1,500, and two year's membership dues, per container. Clubs can pay the full amount, split the cost with other clubs in the network, or split the cost with the receiving club in another part of the world. This money only covers local transportation and some procurement costs. The Rotary World Help Network arranges for the funding of international freight costs and covers other costs associated with the procurement and shipment of goods.

The replacement value of goods sent in each container ranges between $250,000 and $500,000. The approximate "replacement value" of goods sent to other Rotary clubs around the world is $44,450,000. This figure covers shipments sent between September 1997 and December 2003.
